650 Grain Overkill? - "Finally wanted to put a post together about the bull I was blessed to shoot a couple weeks ago. It was a difficult hunt and I learned a lot more about hunting in the mountains... still have lots more to learn too! The hunt for this bull was truly amazing and intense. I’d like to say that I put the perfect shot on him but that’s not how it went. The arrow placement was not ideal and I honestly thought that I’d never see him again. We had to leave him overnight hoping for a miracle. The prayers were answered and we found the “miracle bull” 150 yards from where I shot him the night before. I switched to the 650 system and all I can say is wow. I just killed another elk in gold beach Oregon. Full pass through and my other arrow angled and broke only because he hit the ground and snapped it.

This is actually the first animal she has ever harvested with her bow and the first time she has ever come to full draw on an animal. She had about a 15 yard shot and the cow only went about 30 yds.
