Nilgai taken with GrizzlyStik, bowhunting success story

Squeezed in another spot and stalk nilgai hunt in early February with the temps in the 70s and 80s. Most bulls were back in bachelor groups and I didn’t see any rutting activity all weekend except one pair of bulls fighting. Lots of eyes in each group made the bulls extremely skittish. My pics show the challenges of judging horns and getting a shot at a mature bull when they aren’t distracted by the rut. I finally spotted a lone giant bull bedded in the shade and stalked in for a 30 yard shot to the shoulder. It was a complete pass through with the grizzlystik arrow and broadhead and he went down, just out of sight, at roughly 50 yards. Passing time I walked and got my truck. As I stalked in to where he was down, I heard a commotion in the brush ahead and assumed he was getting up. But as I got closer I realized it was another bull goring my dead bull. I grabbed a quick video and ran him off. Craziest thing I’ve encountered, and he left three bloody puncture wounds in my bull.

All spot and stalk in the thick brush. My Grizzlystik broadheads put one bull down within 50 yards and the other 100 yards. Just huge animals with delicious meat.
