Whitetail Buck

Whitetail Buck taken with GrizzlyStik, bowhunting success story

Overall slow start to the pre rut, but with temps dipping down into the low 30s, what a difference a front can make in the deer woods. Sitting in the dark I could hear grunting, chasing and snort wheezing in the woods in front of me. After daylight broke things quieted down. An hour later a doe and a fawn came out in front of me with her hocks brown, the first doe finally started to smell good. A 120 125 inch 8pt followed. Along with two other small basket bucks, and this guy was the fourth. The little bucks spooked the doe back to him at 45 yards with no clear shot. Everyone went back into the woods and the chase was on again. Grunting, chasing, snort wheezing. This time into 18 yards just how we drew it up when we first made property changes.
