Second Chance Buck

The chase is finally over..........@mattybutts has been hunting this buck since September and he finally put it all together! Two months ago, while shooting a “brand X” mechanical broadhead, Matty hit this guy square in the shoulder.

You know the mechanical broadhead sob story – no penetration, no blood, no deer.

The buck didn’t die and after a few months, he showed back up on camera about a mile away. Determined not to repeat a broadhead failure, Matty called GrizzlyStik and ordered a pack of our GrizzlyStik Silver Flame 125 Double Bevel Broadheads.

The second encounter had a much different outcome. Shooting a 65# bow, Matty was able to take a 20 yard, quartering away shot. The Silver Flame penetrated into the buck and he ran 15 yards and dropped.

In bowhunting, without a doubt, your broadhead is your most important piece of equipment. If it fails – nothing else matters.
