Here's a really nice bull elk taken by Tom Marks with a 100 grain Silver Flame. Tom hit him once at 30 yards, then he was able to get him stopped briefly at 65 yards and in that moment he was able to connect again. The first arrow was a pass through and the second was really close to a pass through. Nice elk, congratulations Tom!
I switched to the 650 system and all I can say is wow. I just killed another elk in gold beach Oregon. Full pass through and my other arrow angled and broke only because he hit the ground and snapped it.
This is actually the first animal she has ever harvested with her bow and the first time she has ever come to full draw on an animal. She had about a 15 yard shot and the cow only went about 30 yds.
