GrizzlyStik Arrow Ordering Cheat Sheet

GrizzlyStik Arrow Ordering Cheat Sheet

Total Arrow Weight: The combined weight of the finished arrow and broadhead

Spine Selection:

  • Momentum TDT 170: Best for bows 75# or more
  • Momentum TDT 240: Best for bows 65-75#
  • Momentum TDT 320: Best for bows 55-65#
  • Momentum TDT 400: Best for bows 55# or less

Cut Length: We use the industry standard method for measuring arrow length. Measured from the valley of the nock (where the string touches inside the ears of the nock) to the end of the insert (where the back side of the broadhead touches the insert when screwed all the way into the arrow) We recommend that the arrow length is 1” longer than draw length.

Arrow Cresting: Adhesive-backed vinyl ‘sticker’ that wraps around the back of the shaft to increase the visibility of the arrow in flight and to improve the bond between the fletching cement and the arrow.          *(weighs 12 grains)*

Arrow Fletching: Currently, all fletched GrizzlyStik arrows are 3-fletched with either vanes or feathers. 1-white and 2-chartreuse vanes or feathers.

  • Vanes) Q2i Rapt-X 2” Vanes *(3-fletching weighs 22 grains)*
  • Feathers) True Flight 4” right wing shield cut feathers *(3-fletching weighs 10 grains)*

Nocks: All GrizzlyStik arrows come standard with a white plastic push in nock.

  • White Nock) AAE IP 5 *(weighs 7 grains)*
  • Green Nock) GloryNock Lighted Nock *(weighs 22 grains)*
  • Red Nock) GloryNock Lighted Nock *(weighs 22 grains)*

Inserts: Type of glue used to install the insert into the end of the arrow shaft.

  • Hot Melt) Heat activated adhesive. Can be reheated to easily replace inserts, add or remove internal weights, or index broadheads. We recommend hot melt!
  • Epoxy) Permanent 2-part epoxy. Once this adhesive cures, it’s permanent, it can’t be removed!
